Hi, everyone. I'm APM Ambassador Ellie Cole, and as someone who has faced and overcome many challenges, I know first-hand how important it is for everyone to have their chance to thrive in their careers. Whether it's about creating accessible environments or fostering an inclusive culture, employees have an important role to play in making sure that people with disability are given opportunities. When businesses embrace inclusivity, they unlock opportunities for innovation, growth, and success. It's not just the right thing to do, it's good for business.

Too often, harmful stereotypes and systemic barriers prevent people, whether it's people with disability or Indigenous Australians, from accessing the employment opportunities they deserve. Creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce doesn't just benefit the individuals, it can enhance business performance and foster social inclusion.

Customised employment is most definitely possible for any person with a disability.

The broader the spectrum of people that you get to work with, you learn so much more. It's just invigorating and it's enriching.

The gap's never gonna be closed, you know, that that's clear, but I think there's people out there that wanna be supportive and continue to make change, and I think that's the way that the difference is gonna be made for the younger generations coming up.
